Even though all ACM events are open to the entire student body, there are definite advantages to becoming an ACM Member – you will get to know of events sooner than the general student body, will have priority in events with limited seating capacity, will get leadership opportunities and most importantly, are tied into a network of people passionate about computer science that are motivated towards making a difference.
Currently we offer 2 types of memberships – a Student Chapter Membership and an ACM International Student Membership.
Student Chapter Membership
These are free memberships that tie you into the acm network inside the student chapter.
- In events with limited capacity, Student Chapter Members will be given higher priority than the general student population
- Access the ACM Lab/Office Space to work on projects and collaborate with your fellow students.

- Access to various ACM E-Newsletters to keep you abreast of the happenings in computing all across the world.

ACM Student Membership
These are paid memberships that tie you into the ACM member network worldwide. All ACM Student Members will receive all of the benefits of the Student Chapter Members and additionally –
- The ACM Learning Centre with courses and books on many diverse aspects of computing.
- E-Mentoring opportunities from ACM Membernet
- Access to ACM Career and Job Center – which allows for networking opportunities with ACM members worldwide
- Discounted Storage Space in the ACM Lab
- Discounts on Paid Workshops
